WikiTrust ratings for Wikipedia featured articles

While investigating WikiTrust ratings for integrating them into WRS an interesting is the rating distribution for Wikipedia featured articles.

The results are very promising as the majority (73 %) a rating of 8 out of 9. This confirms Wikipedia‘s claim that featured articles have a very good quality.

However,  more than 25% of all articles got a WikiTrust  rating equal or below 7, motivating the need for additional ways of assessing their quality.

Here are the precise results:

Rating	Articles Percentage
5	2	2.00%
6	2	2.00%
7	23	23.00%
8	73	73.00%
Total	100	100.00%

and the same results as a chart:

The WikiTrust results are the expected ones, therefore the idea of using it in WRS has strong grounds.

We hope WRS will make your Wikipedia experience better, give it a try; you can install it for free from here.
